Visiting India; Korea; The Philippines; Japan; China; Macau, China; Hong Kong, China; Indonesia; Thailand; Iran and five Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States to which Qatar belongs: Oman; UAE; Kuwait and Bahrain, the Doha 2006 Torch Relay will cover more than 50000 km and be carried by more than 3500 Torchbearers before officially opening the Games on 1 December 2006.
